Must-Visit Malls in Riyadh for Shopping, Dining, and Fun

Malls in Riyadh

Malls in Riyadh are more than just your average shopping centers.

You can spend your full day here and still won’t get tired. The malls here are one stop all places. You get everything like designer shoes, dresses, oud perfumes, play areas and some of the best food in the city.

Oh and yeah!

Your kids can run wild and you don’t have to worry about them because the play areas make sure they are safe and sound.

After spending over eight years in Riyadh I kind of have a good idea about the shopping malls here. I am going to give you my list of the best malls in terms of both quality and quantity of shops.

These malls will give you everything from food and play areas to shops that sell quality items that you won’t find anywhere else in Riyadh.

Enough of the chit chat and let’s get started!

1.    Riyadh Park

This is probably one of the biggest and my favorite malls in Riyadh. You will feel it the moment you walk into this space.

Thanks to the wide walkways you wont be bumping into people and the number of stores here is huge. You will complete your daily steps goal just by walking through the mall.

THE BRANDS HERE?

Next level!

You get international brands that will satisfy your every need. If you are a window shopper or someone who likes to scan and buy you won’t get out of options.

For luxury shopping you have got brands like Gucci, Dior, Bvlgari (with its first-ever fragrance store, no less), with Hermès Beauty starting its first store in Saudi right here.

Looking for sports wear?

You will see the famous Nike, JD Sports, and Adidas stores in this mall.

How about some street fashion?

Say no more.

H&M, Bershka, Stradivarius, Zara, and Pull & Bear have those trendy street wear T Shirts, shorts and a whole lot of other options.

I have to say your wallet will be in serious trouble at this mall.

Mall in Riyadh With Cinema

Not all malls in Riyadh have cinemas but you will get one of the best cinema in Riyadh at this mall. The Vox cinema here has MAX screens and plush seats that you will never want to leave.

And

Don’t get me started on the sound and quality of the screen. You will feel like you are actually inside the movie.

Food Court That Gets It

I have already talked about the restaurants in Riyadh Park but in one word I will say that they have everything for every taste bud you can think of.

Kid-Friendly Vibes

The place is wide open and there is plenty of room for your kids to run wild.

I HEARD!

They recently launched some gaming and play areas in the mall too.

Win – Win situation for the whole family.

2.    Al Nakheel Mall

Did I mention that almost all these malls in Riyadh are huge. Al Nakheel mall houses over 200 shops so you might lose your way and money too while walking around.

You get to see some big international brands like:

  • Lacoste
  • Massimo Dutt
  • Zara

And if you are into beauty products I will highly recommend checking out MAC and Faces.

Both the variety and quality of shops here is top notch. For those affordable fashion items you can go with:

  • H&M
  • Mango
  • Oysho

For my sneaker fan readers I recommend checking out the Nike, Skechers, and Foot Locker stores.

Cinema? Bowling? It’s All Here

Who said this is only a mall?

You can call it a small indoor amusement park because you can visit those spots for kid’s friendly activities and some bowling too.

The cinema here offers the latest movies which is ideal for those boring weekends.

The Food?

There are plenty of local and international restaurants that will serve you full meals to regain all the energy lost while shopping.

My favorites are:

  • Zafran Indian Kitchen
  • Catch22
  • Awani
  • Canton

Your wallet will be empty while but your cravings are going to be satisfied.

3.    Roshn Front

Well, this isn’t your typical indoor shopping mall. It’s a big area with multiple indoor and outdoor shops that will keep you hooked and entertained for a nice weekend.

The place has shops, food, fountains, and really good lighting and is located on the road towards the king khalid airport.

I love the modern design with leafy walkways and just enough water features that will make you feel fancy.

What’s in the Bag?

Don’t come here for just one specific item because this place has everything that can go through your mind.

Let me tell you what you will find here:

  • Sports stores with jersey
  • Fancy perfumes
  • Jewelry that’ll make your wrist feel rich

AND

Enough international brands to accidentally max out your card.

You wont feel chaotic here because there is enough room to breath and walk around.

The Food In This Mall?

Forget food courts because this place has huge restaurants with ambiance that is worth capturing. The lineup of restaurants here is amazing with cuisines from every corner of the world.

  • Let me tell you my favorite food spots in this location:
  • Wagyu Burger: This is among the top burger restaurants in Riyadh and is a must try for sure.
  • Piatto: If you are into Italian food you will love their pasta.
  • Kashounat Al Bait: Craving some biryani? This authentic biryani restaurant will have you coming back.

There are plenty of other options but 9 out of 10 times I go to these three places.

Mall With Cinema

If you can’t visit Riyadh park you shouldn’t be worried because VOX cinema has a branch in Roshan Front too. After a long tiring day or just before going to the airport you can catch your favorite latest movies.

4.    Al Hamra Mall

Not everyone like big malls with valet parking and personal shoppers. Sometimes all you need is a neighborhood mall that gets the job done in the best way.

Located in the Al Khaleej neighborhood Al Hamra mall proves that sometimes, “smaller is better” especially when it’s just around the corner from your house and never takes more than five minutes to find parking.

Does It Have Brands?

I said small I never mentioned that the stores here are not worth visiting.

Don’t get me wrong this place still has the ability to drown your savings thanks to big brands like H&M, Mango, Centrepoint, Aldo, and other reliable spots.

As a neighborhood mall it also offers some budget friendly spots so you don’t drain your wallet in the first visit.

Good Mall For Kids

If your little ones feel bored they will have plenty of options to run wild and enjoy their selves. The mall has some fun play areas on the second floor where you can leave your kids while you explore the shops around the mall.

You have places like the kids station and bullybeez which will keep them engaged for hours but make sure you take them to the food courts too.

Food Court Feels

The mall is small so you won’t find tons of food options here but there still are different cuisines available to enjoy.

There is ample seating area and you will get to see some international brands like Kudu and Hardees. I love the coffee spots here.

They have those nice natural vibes with comfortable sofa seats and small plants around the seating area to make you feel at home.

5.    Tala Mall

If you don’t like those loud and shiny malls that are full of TikTokers then this mall is for you. I think this is one of the most underrated malls in Riyadh in terms of both quality and quantity of shops and activities.

Carrefour

This is the biggest highlight of this mall because you will get almost everything you need under one roof. One minute you’re picking up milk, and next thing you know you’ve filled a cart with air fryers, frozen pizza, and socks.

You can get electronics, furniture, grocery, clothes and even different types of cheese. I usually end up buying more than what I plan because you come across things that you never thought you needed.

Muvi Cinema

The thing that annoys me in cinemas is that they are usually overcrowded but this one isn’t because no many people know that Tala Mall has cinema.

The Muvi is the first boutique Muvi Cinemas in the Kingdom and the experience here is quite different from others.

It’s cozy, modern, and not overcrowded so you can enjoy a movie without those couples fighting at the back.

Brands You Actually Wear

This mall doesn’t showoff with those expensive or unknown brands but instead keeps it minimalist. If you want some good comfy shoes I would recommend going to sketchers.

For street my favorite shop in this mall is Vans. Its practical and not something overly flashy.

OH!

If you want something that lasts for a lifetime Timberland is a must visit.

Sparky’s

I know the kids want enjoyment and the mall owners kept that in mind. Sparky’s is a colorful play area with rides, games and some flashing lights all around.

The little ones are going to burn all their calories here in the first visit.

Food In This Mall?

This mall in Riyadh has kept the food game quite strong. You wont run our of options here. Some of the big brands in this mall are:

  • Burger King
  • Albaik
  • NYF
  • Herfy
  • Shawarma King

You basically get everything like burgers, shawarma, fries, broasted chicken and some traditional menu items too.
