If you are looking for an Uzbek restaurant Riyadh style then you have come to the right place.
There are not many Uzbek restaurants in Riyadh but like me there are plenty of people out there who love those huge plates of plov, grilled meats, and dumplings that are truly addictive.
I have tried almost every Uzbek restaurant in Riyadh and I couldn’t even pick five because most of the restaurants don’t give you that authentic taste.
BUT
There are three places which nailed the Central Asian Cuisine and got a spot on this list which are:
- ashqazan
- BAAAAA Restaurant
- Ashbiz
You don’t need a passport to visit Uzbekistan anymore because this food is enough to transport you to the streets of Tashkent.
Why are we still talking?
Let’s see what these restaurants offer.
1. Ashqazan
I will be honest, I discovered this restaurant accidently and I am totally impressed by their food. Ashqazan is a small Uzbek restaurant in Al Qirawan, Riyadh, and the vibe here is more like a cool café in Riyadh.
The overall ambiance is relaxing with grey color scheme, soft sofas and simple setup.
Its not fancy but the comfort you get here is no less than that of a 5 star restaurant in Riyadh.
Most people prefer takeaways from here because the dining area isn’t big enough but to get the full experience I decided to dine in.
Uzbek Food
You are here for the food so let me tell you what I liked and what you should be ordering.
I started with Ash Gazan Pilou Meat Box, and it is exactly what you will hope for. It isn’t too heavy but the serving amount is generous and you will feel full before even finishing it.
Their pilou is my favorite and it comes with more side items than you can imagine. Manto, Sambosa, Salad, and Sauces (I liked the Laza the most, spicy with a nice kick).
You will definitely feel the traditional Uzbek flavor in every bite. If you are here for the first time get any of these Uzbek dishes:
- Ash Gazan Biryani Chicken Box: This has a bit of everything so you will get to try new items.
- Sambosa: This is light, crispy and totally different than what I have tasted in Riyadh before.
- Bof with cheddar: Cheesy, heavy and comes with 8 pieces.
This restaurant is straightforward, reliable and only offers items they can cook best. If you want to try Uzbek food in Riyadh then head over now.
Location:
This Uzbek restaurant is located at Al Qirawan, Riyadh 13531, Saudi Arabia.

2. BAAAAAA Restaurant
I don’t know who picked the name for this restaurant but if you are bold enough to pick that name you have got my attention.
BAAAAA restaurant brings Afghani, Uzbek and Peshawari food under one roof so you don’t have to visit three different places.
When I walked in the first thing that caught my attention was the shiny floors. The place is clean and minimalist.
The yellow pendant lights create that warm feeling and the open kitchen kept me engaged while I waited for the food to arrive.
Uzbek Food In Riyadh
The menu here covers most of the Uzbek dishes in Riyadh but for first timers its going to be a bit confusing.
“SCRATCHES HEAD”
I started my meal with the Uzbeki Pulao and I have to tell you the smell alone is enough to impress you. It’s the kind of dish that needs to be done right to smell so good.
The meat is tender and the portion is more than generous. If you are trying Uzbek food in Riyadh for the first time then this is the best option to start with.
THE LAMB KARAHI?
This is something next level. This dish is slightly spicy and the lamb meat is heavy and perfectly cooked. When the waiter brings it in you will see bubbles in the pan.
INTERESTING ISN’T IT?
Pair it with a naan and it will definitely go on your favorite food list.
For first timers the three dishes I would recommend in this restaurant are:
- Afghani Tikka
- Shrimp BBQ
- Peshawari Mint Kahwa
Where Is This Uzbek Restaurant Located?
You can find this restaurant in Riyadh at District, King Faisal Road, Al Murabba, Riyadh 12613, Saudi Arabia.

3. Ashbiz
Out of all the Uzbek restaurants in Riyadh this one is the best in terms of ambiance and décor. When you get inside you will immediately notice the casual yet high end tile work, wooden details and a huge open kitchen.
I could sit in this restaurant for hours without getting bored.
Perfect for those snap moments!
What’s On The Menu?
The menu is detailed and has every Uzbek dish you can think of. I started with their Chicken Ashbiz, its their best seller and that is for a reason. It comes with a decent amount of rice and chicken on top.
Next was the Meat Manto which are basically dumplings but the meat filling is not like those you have tasted before in Riyadh. I would come for those alone next time.
If you are visiting with your family or friends I would recommend going for the Ashbiz Family Box. It includes a bit of everything like mains, appetizers and their homemade sauces.
For first timers I recommend going for these dishes:
- Samso
- Lagmen
- Jowawa
- Meat With Dough
