5 Best Indian Restaurants in Jeddah That Serve Next-Level Flavors

Indian Food in Jeddah

I wish finding the best Indian restaurant in Jeddah was easy but it isn’t.

You can’t just order butter chicken at any restaurant and hope that it will be the best.

Indian food is all about that perfect balance of spices.

The kind of balance that makes you say “Yep, they know what they’re doing.”

If you love eating fluffy naan straight from the tandoor, a rich and creamy curry, or a biryani that actually tastes like it took hours to make (not just thrown together in a hurry)

THEN

This blog is for you.

I have been in Jeddah for quite sometime and I have tried over 30 – 40 different Indian restaurants in the city.

SO?

I know a thing or two about Indian food in Jeddah and I already talked about Indian restaurants in Riyadh too.

Let’s find your next favorite spot in Jeddah.

1.    Reyhana – A Luxurious Indian Dining

If you want a luxury Indian dining experience in Jeddah then Reyhana is the place to visit. I love this place for a number of reasons.

Have guests that you want to impress? Going on a date night? Want to give your family a royal meal?

All that is possible in this restaurant.

Located in Al Hamraa District, this restaurant is all about luxury and blends Indian influences with European elegance.

This is the kind of place where you feel like a celebrity or a king or maybe a billionaire and impress people with a few snaps.

I LOVE DOING THAT!

Menu Options:

Well, their menu covers a variety of cuisines but the standout are mostly Indian dishes and that’s what people come here for. The list is long but let me tell you my favorites:

  • Prawn Mulgalga: Seafood isn’t only famous in Riyadh I tried the Jeddah one too and it didn’t disappoint. This dish includes grilled prawns in a cumin-spiced tomato sauce with coriander and black pepper. You will keep coming back for this.
  • Lamb Markouk: For a protein-filled meal that will keep you full for a couple of days try this dish. It includes lamb, brown flatbread, and a rich tomato broth infused with dried lemon.
  • Reyhana Kunafa: A Middle Eastern classic but done the Indian way with shredded dough, cheese mousse, and a drizzle of honey and rose syrup.

Average Prices At Reyhana

The menu is detailed and if we look at the total 45 menu items the average prices at this restaurant come around at SAR 125 which is solid for the ambiance and service you get.

2.    Zaikaki Indian Cuisine

Located on King Abdul Aziz Rd, Zaikaki Indian Cuisine feels like an ordinary restaurant from the streets of Delhi.

SPOILER: THE FOOD ISN’T ORDINARY!

The traditional décor with formal lighting and hints of brown really make the place feel upscale and inviting.

I love how the front of the restaurant is like a huge window with an Indian design on the side. The use of golden colors in different places makes it feel more Indian.

What to Try:

  • Gosht Dum Biryani: What’s an Indian restaurant without biryani? This biryani includes fragrant basmati rice and tender, slow-cooked lamb infused with saffron and rich spices.
  • Masala Sauce Fresh Shrimps: I love dishes that have some thick gravy and this one doesn’t disappoint. It comes with shrimp in a thick, flavorful masala gravy. I would recommend pairing it with a naan or some white rice.
  • Palak Paneer: For those who love healthy food this dish is a no brainer. Its simple, delicious and healthy! What else do you want?

3.    Biryani Gate Restaurant

This place doesn’t waste time on trying to impress you with ambiance or décor.

You can call this Indian restaurant a no fuss place where the food speaks for itself. The restaurant has basic seating but still very comfortable.

You will see a dim brown color scheme around the restaurant with plenty of space for seating.

If you love biryani, a sizzling grill platter, or a rich, slow-cooked curry, this place delivers authentic Indian flavors without the frills.

My Favorite Items:

  • Lucknowi Mutton Biryani: This place does biryani like no other in Jeddah. Their spices are perfectly balanced and the meat is tender and fresh.
  • Beef Seekh Kebab: These Kebabs are juicy and well-seasoned and I would recommend pairing them with Lucknowi Sheermal to get the full taste.
  • Butter Chicken Masala: Not all Indian restaurants get this dish right but Biryani Gate really does it better. The gravy is thick and the amount of butter inside will surprise you.

Average Prices:

Compared to other Indian food places in Jeddah this place is quite cheap. You can get an average prices of just SAR 25 here which is totally worth it.

Do you know what happens on Holi?

Every place becomes vibrant!

This restaurant is named after Holi for the same reason. The interior design is colorful with its bright, modern, and casual ambiance.

The artistic décor on the walls is my favorite and the patterned chairs make the space feel lively and welcoming.

They have all the dishes you would expect an Indian restaurant to serve and my picks were:
