1. Taco Ville
If you are looking for mini fiesta vibes in Riyadh, Taco Ville is your next stop. This restaurant has branches in Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Daman, and Khobar and finally decided to give you some Mexican taste in Riyadh.
Their fun bright yellow and pink color scheme instantly attracts you when you visit the restaurant. This color scheme is complemented by wooden flooring and black sleek designed chairs which adds a touch of quality to the overall vibe.
I LOVE THOSE PLATES!
Their plates are decorated with vibrant Mexican art designs that are so stunning, that you’ll be tempted to take one home (but hey, don’t actually do it!).
Service At Taco Ville
I was really impressed by the fast service here. The waiters always have a big smile and are like that one cousin who knows exactly what kind of Tacos you like
FRESH, FAST AND AUTHENTIC!
My order arrived in less than 10 minutes so I would say you won’t be waiting too long to get your hands on food.
Food Variety
You are here for food so let’s talk about that now.
Taco Ville as the name suggests is known for its delicious and authentic Mexican Tacos but they have other things to offer too.
You will find a wide range of Mexican classics from fajitas and mouthwatering tacos to grilled chicken and crispy shrimp.
BUT THAT’S NOT IT!
If you are a vegetarian you will find a ton of vegetarian options like the Burrito Vegetarian and Burrito Bowl veggies.
Must Try Dishes
I wish I could take their chef home so I could eat all these dishes all day every day. Some dishes that really stood out for me were:
Fajitas Grilled Shrimps: For all the seafood fellas out there this is a must-try. This dish includes some really fresh and juicy shrimp and they are served with stir-fry veggies, cilantro-lime rice, and refried beans. All of these are then topped with a nice amount of melted cheese.
Birria Taco: This one is for all the Mexican taco lovers there. The Birria Taco comes packed with slow-cooked beef birria, marinated in their adobo sauce and all wrapped up in a pasilla chili flour tortilla.
Carne Asada Taco: Ah! The classic Mexican taco. If you want some extra authentic Mexican flavors then their Carne Asada Taco with beef steak and traditional Mexican toppings should be your pick.
2. El Camino – Mexican Cuisine In Riyadh
This name reminds me of a lot of things, does it remind you of anything?
El Camino is all about bringing the taste of Mexico to Riyadh with a vibe that feels like a hug from Mexico.
This restaurant has a cozy and vibrant setting that is filled with traditional architecture and designs. Whether you prefer dining under the open sky or enjoying a cozy lunch indoors on a warm winter day, this place has got you covered.
The overall atmosphere inside the restaurant screams “relax and enjoy!” with comfy sofas and chairs that are traditionally designed.
You will feel like you are visiting your Uncle Ben in Mexico.
Service
The staff and service here?
One word and that’s top-notch!
The staff is attentive and has all the information about their menu so if you are unsure about what to order just give me a call.
The food does take quite some time to prepare especially when there are many people in the restaurant apart from that you will feel at home with both the service and staff.
Food Variety
Oh boy! Where do I even start?
Their menu is filled with different items from all around Mexico and I have to warn you those names are really difficult to pronounce.
From Guacamole Doña Lupe (which is a must-try) and Chili Poppers to burritos, zesty ceviches, and the ever-popular Mole de la Abuela, a dish that’s as rich in history as it is in flavor.
But let’s pick out my favorites:
- Guacamole Doña Lupe: This dish is green, fresh, and creamy. This combines avocadoes with lime juice and a touch of salt. This is usually served with burritos and is perfect for sharing (maybe not!).
- Nachos El Camino: These are not the nachos you see every day. You will get a mountain of chips topped with cheese, beef, and all the other toppings that you can name.
- Baja Style Tacos: If you love something unique then these fish and shrimp tacos are for you. They come drizzled with chipotle mayo and pickled coleslaw. Yum!
3. Mexika: Mexican Street Food In Riyadh
Next on our list is this Mexican taco restaurant that brings the street food vibes of Mexico to Riyadh.
With two branches in Riyadh, this restaurant has a simple, elegant, and minimalist décor and is ideal for a fun night out with your best friends.
WHAT IF I TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN MENU?
That would be cool right?
Well, you can do that at Mexika. Whether is burritos, tacos, or rice bowls you will have full control of what you want to be added.
You can choose your tortilla (soft or crunchy), pick your protein (from tender barbacoa to juicy shrimp), and include veggies and fresh sauces like pico de gallo and guacamole.
It’s all about making your meal as unique as you are!
Must Try Dishes At Mexika
Whether you’re a taco aficionado or trying out Mexican food for the first time you will find a wide variety of options at Mexika’s menu. Here are some must-try dishes at this restaurant:
- Taco Box: if your whole gang loves tacos then this box is enough for you. This taco box is perfect for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!). You will get 12 tacos with different fillings like lemon chicken and barbecue shrimp.
- Mexika’s Rice Bowl: Don’t like tacos? No problems because Mexika has a ton of other options. This rice bowl contains fresh rice paired with black beans, veggies, and your choice of protein. All this is topped with fresh Mexican guacamole, lime, and sour cream.
- Chimichanga: yeah I know these names are really difficult. This fried tortilla is packed with jack cheese, cheddar, and caramelized onions, and then served with guacamole and pico de gallo. It’s crunchy, cheesy, and absolutely addictive!
